TENOR GUITAR; A General Introduction

Discover the Instrument That Changes Everything — Tenor Guitar: A General Introduction

If you’ve ever felt drawn to making music but found the six-string guitar overwhelming or the ukulele too limiting, this book was written with you in mind. Tenor Guitar: A General Introduction by Ledfreddie Nelson is the warm, welcoming guide you didn’t know you needed — and it arrives from one of the most passionate voices in the tenor guitar world.

Ledfreddie Nelson isn’t just a writer — he’s a seasoned guitar designer and the founder of Craven Tenor Guitars of Canada, based in Vernon, British Columbia. Between 2021 and 2025, he personally crafted and sold nearly one thousand tenor guitars worldwide across fourteen distinct models, building a devoted global community he proudly calls family. His work even caught the attention of Shari Ulrich, the legendary Juno Award-winning Canadian singer/songwriter, for whom he designed multiple custom instruments. When Ledfreddie writes about the tenor guitar, he writes from the hands, the heart, and the workshop.

Spanning 13 comprehensive chapters, this book takes you on a complete journey — from the very basics all the way through to advanced topics.
